The establishment of Iran and Russia Business Council

During the business trip of economic activists, members of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce and a high-level delegation from Isfahan province to Russia, the Iran-Russia Business Council was formed as a joint council between the Iran Trade Development Organization (ITDO) and the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Russia
According to the public relations report of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, the inauguration ceremony of this council was held in the presence of the head of the ITDO, the head of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce and the head of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Russia. The Iran-Russia Business Council was established with the aim of removing obstacles to industrial and commercial cooperation between the Iranian and Russian parties.
 
In a meeting held for this purpose, Alireza Peymanpak, while thanking the governor and top economic activists and brands of Isfahan province, said: “These people have gone to Russia as an example of the superiority of Iran's commercial and industrial capabilities and had good meetings with their counterparts.
 
The head of the ITDO, while pointing to the %30 growth of trade between Iran and Russia in the past 7 months, added: the highest rate of this growth was in the field of industrial relations. Although the relations between Iran and Russia for the past few years, which were mainly based on food and agricultural products, need to be improved, but in the field of industrial and technological cooperation, there are high capacities in the two countries that require special attention.
 

Peymanpak stated that due to several decades of embargo on Iran, Iranians have made good progress in various industrial and technological fields. He further stated that: “Today in various fields such as medicine and medical equipment, auto parts and construction industry, ICT and industrial equipment, transformers, turbine, pumps and equipment in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals and catalysis and advanced polymers at a global level, we have extensive activities.

The head of the ITDO expressed and clarified the duty of the Ministry of Defense and the ITDO to introduce the existing capabilities: Moscow exhibitions are a great opportunity to introduce Iran's potentials in various fields such as auto parts, and we have a serious plan for the presence of Iranian brand companies in Moscow healthcare and the construction industry exhibitions.
Peymanpak considered the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding with the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Russia as a good help to find the counterparts of Iranian companies and economic activists in Russia and said: the high capacity of this union is a great help in introducing reliable and competent industries and economic companies to the Iranian side and a means for joint pursuit the problems  that exists in the parties’ commercial relations including banking, customs, transportation and other issues related to trade between the two countries.
Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade also announced the achievement of good agreements regarding joint design and construction projects with Russia and clarified: Agreements on joint turbines design, joint ship-building project, rails and locomotives, airplanes and helicopters, tractors and agricultural equipment and machinery are among these agreements.

Peymanpak also announced Iran's readiness to establish a free trade zone of the Eurasian Union and a regional allocation of space in the southern ports of Iran with the privileges of the free zone centered on the entrepreneurs' union and added: Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have also taken land in Chabahar and Bandar Abbas to build and activate the North-South Corridor.

He also suggested that ITDO should be active in the field of international trade and economic issues of the Shanghai Organization in Iran, with the cooperation of the Entrepreneurs Union of Industry and production working group of the Shanghai Organization. Because this organization needs synergy and creation of an active working group for cooperation and industrial and production partnerships among members.
The deputy minister considered the signing of the memorandum between ITDO and the Union of Russian Entrepreneurs and Industrialists to be important in the formalization of most of the matters between them and expressed it as a turning point in the industrial and commercial relations of the two countries.

In this meeting, the governor of Isfahan also pointed to the conclusion of good memorandums of understanding between the two countries during this trip and said: Considering the conclusion of memorandums of understanding between the presidents of the two countries and the plans of the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade and the ITDO and the Russian side, good things will happen.

Syed Reza Mortazavi added: In order to lead this policy making to operational and effective plans for the government, the provinces should be activated in a special way. In the industrial province of Isfahan, we will use all our resources to support these policies, especially in the fields of science and technology, tourism, urban management and economy, commerce and industry. I hope that by hosting Russian delegations in the future, we will make arrangements for productive interaction between Iranian and Russian companies.

Extending an invitation to the Union of Russian Entrepreneurs and Craftsmen to pay a visit to Isfahan
Also, the head of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, referring to the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding between the governors of Isfahan and St. Petersburg in order to set up a commercial office in these provinces, and considering the establishment of large economic enterprises, especially Folad Mubarekeh in Isfahan, and Iran's development plans in the steel industry, and on the other hand, the concentration of the industry Iran's parts manufacturing and household appliances in this province, he said: it is necessary to introduce the companies of the two provinces to each other and to provide the basis for business interactions between the parties.
Masoud Golshirazi, while inviting the Union of Russian Entrepreneurs, Industrialists and Economic Activists to visit Isfahan, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, in order to implement the axes agreed by the parties, expressed the hope to receive the delegation in Isfahan soon.

Alexander Shokhin, the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, also considered the signing of the memorandum between ITDO and this union to be effective in promoting bilateral cooperation and said: We agree with all the proposals in the field of organizing and managing the joint council.
