Mayor of Niamey’s visit to Isfahan Chamber of Commerce

A meeting to explore opportunities for cooperation with Niamey, the capital of Niger was held in the presence of members of the Board of Representatives of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce and the Niger delegation chaired by the Mayor of Niamey
According to the public relations of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, in a meeting to review opportunities for cooperation with Niamey, Gholamreza Akhavan Farid, a member of the Board of Representatives of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, said: “Isfahan is a historical and industrial city where it houses more than 9,000 active industrial units.
 
He pointed to the existence of magnificent historical monuments and numerous universities as other potentials of the province.
 
The chairman of the Business Environment Improvement Commission of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce said: “Isfahan province holds top rank in many industries, especially in the field of steel, food and animal husbandry”.
 
Akhavan Farid further announced the readiness of the province's pharmaceutical companies to interact in the field of technology transfer and technology in the field of medicine to meeting Niamey's pharmaceutical needs.

Mohammad Sadeghi, Chairman of the Agriculture, Health, Water and Environment Commission of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, pointing to Isfahan’s top rank in the production of agricultural and livestock products, expressed hope that this trip will have valuable results for Isfahan-Niger interaction in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry.

The Mayor and chairman of Niamey City Council also stated that the purpose of this trip is to discuss ways to facilitate the living conditions of Isfahan and Niamey residents and emphasized that the interactions between the parties should be designed based on the needs of the people.
Oumarou Dogari Moumouni referring to the long-standing cooperation agreement between Iran and Niger, added: "Since the signing of this agreement, there have been interactions between the Iran-Niger Chamber of Commerce."
 
The mayor of Niamey added: Niamey is a commercial city but has few productions, and since Isfahan is a production and industrial city, the interactions between the two cities are very valuable and interesting for us.
 
Moumouni stated: “in the first step, Niamey can be a consumer of products produced in Isfahan and in the next step, Isfahan's potentials can be used for progress in the field of production in this city”.
 
Member of the House of Representatives of Niamey stated: “As the Mayor and chairman of the City Council of Niamey, I shall use all available capacities to provide the necessary platform for establishing interactions between the parties as soon as possible”.
 

The director of the International Marketing and Relations of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce also described the economic and commercial capacities of the province as well as the activities of the Isfahan Private Sector Parliament.

Also in this meeting, with respect to the potentials of the Human Capital Development Center of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce (MATSA), a memorandum of understanding was concluded between Isfahan Chamber of Commerce and Niamey Municipality to provide the educational services required by the parties.
 
Following this meeting, economic activists and members of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, active in three groups in the fields of education, water, energy and agriculture, negotiated with the Niger delegation on a B2B basis.
