Ambassador of Portugal in an official meeting with Representatives of ECCIMA

The Portuguese Ambassador to Iran met with a Board Member of Esfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) in order to fulfill the goals of this chamber as the Nominated Chamber of Portugal.
In order to present the activities of ECCIMA regarding the “Portugal Project” an official meeting with João Côrte-Real, Ambassador of Portugal to Tehran, and Nuno Várzea, Economic and Trade Consular of the Embassy, was held in Embassy of Portugal in Tehran.
In the beginning of this meeting, Fereshteh Amini, the Board Member of ECCIMA, clarified that since Esfahan Chamber of Commerce has been chosen as the nominated chamber of Portugal by Iran Chamber of Commerce, we have made a great effort for accelerating the trade and economic relations between Iran and Portugal.
Following that, Joao Crothe-Raal expressed his appreciation to the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce for its in-depth studies and well-documented activities on identifying Portugal and stated: “we will not hesitate to provide any support that could make the International Conference of Portugal more competent and fruitful.”
Moreover, Mona Mehraban, Director of International Marketing and Relations Department of ECCIMA, described the activities in respect the “Portugal Project” and said: “the activities by the International Department have been carried out in accordance with the timetable in three phases of; 1) Identifying the list of Export/Import Priority Items between Iran and Portugal using economic, statistical, and SWOT Matrix analysis, 2) Studying and analyzing the Portuguese Market, different aspects of its business environment, economic indicators, laws and regulations, transportation system, infrastructures, and identifying  their industries, associations, banks, insurance agencies and etc., 3) Holding the “International Conference of Portugal”, sending and receiving delegations, signing MOUs, and leading the cooperation, which the first two phase has been completed and currently we are working on the third phase.
In the course of this meeting, the parties discussed the continuation of cooperation to facilitate the further development of joint business relationships and mutual information exchange.
