According to the public relations report of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Amir Keshani, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, in a meeting with the head of the Union of Exporters and Importers of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, added: Isfahan Chamber of Commerce is ready to receive business delegations from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and we are mutually ready to dispatch business delegations from Isfahan to the Kurdistan Region.
He said: Isfahan Chamber of Commerce has about 30 specialized associations in fields of textiles, steel, chemicals, polymers, mining, agricultural products, and greenhouses, and Isfahan has good opportunities for the development of the Kurdistan region of Iraqi, especially in the construction industry.
The president of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce invited the specialized delegations of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to attend the exhibitions held in Isfahan.
Mohammadreza Golahmmad, a member of the board of Representatives and head of the International Council of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, stated that Isfahan has a lot of potential in the field of commerce and said: The Isfahan Chamber of Commerce is ready to host specialized business delegations from the Kurdistan region of Iraq, where we will arrange meetings with relevant counterparts to establish business relations. We believe this way is effective in increasing business exchanges between Isfahan and the Kurdistan region of Iraq. In order to increase the export of goods from Isfahan to the Kurdistan region, it is necessary to form specialized trade delegations and each group should focus on the export of one commodity.
Fereshte Amini, a member of the board of representatives and the head of the export development and import management commission of the Chamber of Commerce, also stated that the development of the Iraqi Kurdistan region in recent years is exemplary and very valuable, and said: the people and officials of the Iraqi Kurdistan region have realized the value of quality goods and They value Iranian quality products.
He considered one of the most important concerns of Iranian businessmen to be the accreditation of the other party's businessmen and added: Isfahan Chamber of Commerce expects the Union of Exporters and Importers of the Kurdistan Region to cooperate with the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce in the accreditation of Kurdistan Region businessmen and companies.
Saeed Ebrahimi, director of international affairs of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, also stated that Isfahan products have the largest share in the exports of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kurdistan Region, with no noticeable trade disputes among the engaged parties.
Also, Sheikh Mustafa Abdul Rahman, the head of the Union of Exporters and Importers of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, said in this meeting: The amount trading value of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq is quite considerable and Iran has a good share of it.
Sheikh Mustafa Abdul Rahman added: The Kurdistan Region of Iraq has a strong commercial relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran. But he is determined to establish a stronger business relationship with Isfahan province.
He said: 3 years ago, during a correspondence with the then Governor of Isfahan, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq requested to establish a direct flight line between Isfahan and Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, as well as a sisterhood agreement between the two cities of Isfahan and Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.
But unfortunately, these two issues did not come to a conclusion and despite the fact that we wanted the first direct flight line between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran to be established with Isfahan; But this issue was not materialized and since a year ago, a direct air line between Kish and Kurdistan Region has been established with one flight per week.
He further said: We are still pursuing the idea, as the direct light line and the twin-city agreement between the two cities are effective in the growth of commerce and the increase of trade exchanges and the development of tourism.
He further added: Every week an exhibition is held in Isfahan, and the creation of an airline will lead to more communication, and business delegations can directly visit the exhibitions held in Isfahan through the airline.
