Isfahan and Diyala cooperation in construction industry

Iraq is prepared to welcome Iranian businessmen

The Isfahan Chamber of Commerce welcomed Mohammad Al-Tamimi, the president of the Diyala Chamber of Commerce, along with Morteza Hedayati, the head of the Iran Trade Center in Najaf, Iraq.
In this meeting, Mohammad Reza Gol-ahmad, the member of the board of representatives and the head of the international council of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the various potentials of Isfahan province across multiple sectors. He noted the strong ties between Isfahan and Iraq, emphasizing efforts to enhance this relationship. Key points of this included the direct flights from Isfahan to Iraq, the presence of 4,000 Iraqi college students studying in Isfahan, and the business visit of the president of the Najaf Chamber of Commerce to Isfahan. He also pointed out the significant opportunities for collaboration in the construction industry between the two nations.
He further added that Isfahan is one of the members of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum (ACD and has been designated as the focal point for member states of the forum. He expressed that Iran would welcome the opportunity to collaborate with Iraq in this regard.
Mohammad Al-tamimi, president of Diyala chamber of commerce, also added: as chamber of commerce we are representative of private sector. Several significant projects are managed by the government sector. As representatives of the private sector, we are actively working to promote collaboration between the government and reputable Iranian companies. In the near future, we plan to organize a delegation comprising governors and chamber of commerce presidents to visit Iran, with the aim of enhancing their understanding of Iran's and Isfahan's potential. Fortunately, the security situation in the country has seen considerable improvement in recent years.
In the following, the parties expressed their readiness to establish a collaborative specialized working group consisting of expert companies to evaluate the conditions surrounding investment and bilateral cooperation. The Iranian side also indicated its readiness to offer construction services to the residential areas under construction in this province, which was welcomed by the Iraqi side. It was agreed that future meetings would focus on exchanging views and evaluations concerning the specifics of the proposed plans.
