The meeting of the Russian trade delegation was held with a number of economic activists of Isfahan province in the sector of gold, jewelry and precious stones.
According to the public relations report of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, at the beginning of this meeting, Sayed Vahid Dezfouli, a member of the board of delegations of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, stated: Isfahan is considered one of the largest and important provinces of the country and has many capacities and capabilities for cooperation.
He continued: We welcome the expansion of economic cooperation with the Russian side and are ready to increase business interactions. Isfahan has a special place in the field of mines and precious stones in the country and has great economic actors in this sector. Industry and art are mixed together in Isfahan, the result of which is creation of valuable and quality products.
He further added: Currently, about 4 thousand gold production and distribution units are active in Isfahan, and today the forerunners of this industry are present here, so that they can have good interactions with the Russian counterparts. The Isfahan Chamber of Commerce is also ready to establish the connections and to develop relations between Isfahan and Russian merchants.
Arthur Glazunov, head of the department of State Regulation of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, stated: Isfahan is a city with many capacities in various sectors; therefore, we are ready to increase economic cooperation with the businessmen of this province. In this trip we are trying to negotiate with the businessmen of Isfahan and take good steps towards more exchanges.
Hamidreza Nikkhah, head of the Isfahan Gold and Jewelry Union, also said: Currently, more than 200 types of handicrafts are produced in Isfahan, and this city is the cradle of arts and crafts. During the period of 1988-1990, this province was the pole of gold exports and had the largest amount of exports, but due to the economic sanctions against Iran, the amount of exports and foreign trade decreased heavily, but now there is a readiness to increase the amount of interactions.
