Official Meeting between members of Asian Parliamentary Association (APA) and members of Representative Board of Esfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA)

Hosted by Esfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and with participation of the representative of APA member countries including Afghanistan, Cambodia, Cyprus, Indonesia, I. R. Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lao PDR, Lebanon, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Syria, Turkey Vietnam and Qatar this meeting was held in 27/06/2019.

For the beginning Mr. Masoud Golshirazi, the president of ECCIMA welcomed the APA members to Esfahan and defined the strategic location of Iran geographically and economically in Asia and described that Esfahan province with 9000 Industrial units, 143 universities and higher education institutes, 1850 registered master pieces, and 9 tangible and intangible cultural heritages, accounts for 1.8% of the country’s GDP.  
Mr. Golshirazi appreciated their efforts in order to achieve “Good Governance” and sustainable economic and social development in Asian countries and explained that considering the main goals of this parliament regular meetings with chambers of commerce, as the representative of private sector, is necessary to provide interaction between government and real-life business owners.
Following that, the meeting continued by speeches from different representatives’ of each country in the related fields such as energy, finance, environment, poverty, water resources, and the solutions for solving the issues regarding these subjects were discussed.
At the end, the secretary general of APA concluded the session by explaining that participation in this meeting in Esfahan province was a great new experience and said that as a matter of fact Esfahan province has great potentials and infrastructure to host bigger meetings asides the capital.
