Iraq Minister of Industry and Minerals in Esfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA)

This meeting was held in ECCIMA by participation of Iraq Minister of Industry and Minerals accompanied by Chambers of Commerce presidents, Esfahan Chamber of Commerce vice president and members of the board of directors, and Esfahan business Owners.

For the beginning Mr. Bahram Sobhani, The Vice President of ECCIMA, welcomed the delegation and determined that Esfahan province with more than 9000 industrial units in different fields can meet the need of Iraq market. He explained that Esfahan steel company can make investment for establishment of steel company in Iraq and can provide the raw materials for this company as well.
In this meeting Mr. Saleh Al-Jaburi, the Minister, said that the cooperation between Iran and Iraq companies has a significant effect in development of economic relations between two countries. He also mentioned that joint-venture companies between Iran and Iraq can strengthen the bilateral relations. Considering this purpose he announced 190 investment projects which are ready to start and invited Iranian companies and business owners to invest in these projects guaranteed by Iraq Government.
The Minister has expressed the interest of their country for presence of Iranian manufacturers in Karbala and Najaf and Highlighted the point that we don’t have to waste time and energy to establish committees and we should make actions. He said: “considering the interests of both countries for enhancement of economic relations, I believe that the private sector can play an important role in this regard.”
Following that Mr. Sobhani remarked that custom fees, financial transfers and logistic system should be enhanced in order to improve and develop business interactions between two countries.
At the end of this meeting, the participants continued the professional and technical negotiations in B2B sessions.
