Consultation to expand cultural interactions and export handicrafts to Tatarstan

Women are the guardians of culture and art of any country

Members of the Supreme Council of Women of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce met Ayupova Irada, Minister of Culture of Tatarstan and discussed and exchanged opinions about the capacities of cooperation and interaction between Isfahan and Tatarstan in the field of women, handicrafts and cultural and economic issues.
Mohammad Reza Golahmed, the head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Commission and a member of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce Board of Representatives, said:
Women have a very important role in the formation of a nation's culture, as culture of a society is rooted in the family education.
In our country, women have had a special place in the ancient culture of Iran, and as an example, the women who are present at this meeting are among the prominent economic activists and businessmen of Isfahan, and throughout history, the women of this region have played an important role in the progress and development of this city.
Ayupova Irada, Minister of Culture of Tatarstan, said highlighted the Tatarstan capacities: Tatarstan is located in the center of Russia and adjacent to big cities. Tatarstan is in the center of Russia and is geographically in a very logistic point. A big road has been created between Moscow and Kazan, through which you can communicate directly with Russia.
The population of Tatarstan is more than 4 million people and it is a manufacturing region, with an annual production of 40 million dollars. Its products mostly include petroleum and chemical products, transportation machineries, airplanes, and helicopters. This republic has made great progress and achieved good results in the field of information technology. It is also successful in the field of health and medicine and is considered a medical center.
Ayupova Irada, quoting from Qur'an on the high status of women, said: Many things in the world are done by the efforts of women and they play an important role in societies. We invite the members of the Supreme Council of Women of the Chamber of Commerce to pay a visit to Tatarstan and familiarize themselves with the capacities of this region. In May, we will hold a big conference of halal products, where the presence of women is very prominent.
Regarding handicrafts and cultural heritage, he added: Iran is one of the prominent countries in the field of handicrafts and tourism and has been able to well preserve its traditions. There are about 200 types of handicrafts in Iran, some of which have been registered in UNESCO.
The interesting point is that none of Iran's crafts have been forgotten, but in our country, though tatarstan is strong in the field of crafts, some of them are forgotten. We are trying to revive the neglected crafts and traditions by setting up a cultural center, and not only crafts will be introduced in this center, but also to represent culture in the international arena. This center is a good opportunity for cultural activists and handicrafts of Iran and Isfahan, where they can introduce their products and services.
Leila Pahlavanzadeh, an activist in the field of tourism and restoration of historical monuments, stated that since the Safavid era, business delegations have had companies around Naqshjehan Square and noted that the establishing of a joint cultural office between the two cities can improve cooperation in this field.
Referring to the sisterhood agreement between Isfahan and St. Petersburg, Ali Moqtaderi, the international consultant of Isfahan Municipality, said: Pronzensky Boulevard in St. Petersburg was named after Isfahan, and a cultural center is going to be established on that boulevard. With the expansion of intangible culture connections, economic cases will happen in that center too. Similarly, in the case of Kazan, such an initiative can be implemented, and we ask the Tatarstan delegation to demand from the Tatarstan government that the protocol for the establishment of bilateral cultural centers to be mutually foreseen when the government agreement is reached.
