Economic exchanges between Isfahan and St. Petersburg will expand

The president of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce said: “We are ready to establish the table of the St. Petersburg Chamber in the Isfahan Chamber, and we request that the Isfahan Chamber table be established in St. Petersburg Chamber in order to expand economic exchanges.
According to the public relations report of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Keshani in the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce review meeting on the cooperation roadmap between Isfahan and St. Petersburg said: “Isfahan is the cradle of civilization where different religions survive in a perfect coexistence with the majority Muslim population, has many commercial and economic centers as well as good scientific, research and academic centers”.
 Stating that St. Petersburg has good people and a rich culture, he said: This city has many capacities and it is hoped that such meetings will lead to the expansion of economic and cultural cooperation. Undoubtedly, holding economic festivals, joint investments, and joint activities in the Chambers and tourist exchanges between the two cities and paying special attention to the economy of art can help the development of economic relations between the two cities.
The Speaker of the Parliament of the private sector of Isfahan added: The two cities have good relations and they have a lot in common. We are very happy that we have a relationship with the officials of this developed city. Iran is a four-season country and has great potential in the agricultural sector and the export of agricultural products to Russia.
There is an opportunity for Iran to export agricultural and food products to Russia and in return we will receive raw steel, wood and paper or other products.
Stating that the petrochemical and plastic industries are one of the major industries of Iran and Isfahan, and there is an opportunity for cooperation in those sectors, he clarified: Isfahan is known as the textile city of Iran, and carpet and floorings are among the major products of Isfahan that can be exported, and in return we can receive products such as grain, wood and paper. I suggest that a business delegation from St. Petersburg to arrange a trip to Isfahan in return to the business delegation that was sent from Isfahan to St. Petersburg last year, and we would be pleased to host them.
Keshani added: Isfahan is the economic capital of Iran and it can use its production capacity and manpower to expand the interactions between the two cities. Tourism connections between the two cities can expand cultural exchanges which would lead to the growth of economic interactions.
He added: Today, one of the problems faced by Iranian exporters is obtaining Russian export licenses, therefore, we request that solutions be provided to facilitate this, helping improvement Iran's exports. Also, joint investment in the transport sector and especially the flight between the two cities, which leads to the development of cultural and economic relations, can be an important step in the development of cooperation. The Tourism Commission of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce can plan in line with the development of tourism between the two cities.

Through the joint tables, we can exchange useful information about the two cities to the benefit of businessmen. We also welcome the Russian investors in knowledge-based products and the agricultural sector of the province.
Mr. Nizami Mamishev, deputy of the St. Petersburg External Relations Committee, also stated: We welcome the development of cooperation with Isfahan. We had meetings with Iranian officials including Isfahan Governorate to develop relations, and next year we have plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of relations between the two cities and we can expand cooperation in cultural and economic fields.
Mohammad Reza Golahmad, a member of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce board of representatives, also said: economic and cultural relations between the two cities have existed for a long time, and we are determined to further develop relations.
We are ready to welcome Russian travelers and expand tourism between the two cities. There are many Iranian tourists who are interested in traveling to St. Petersburg, and this matter also applies to Russian tourists. Therefore, regular weekly flights can be arranged between the two cities.
Referring to the group visa cancellation agreement between the two countries, Mrs. Nana Gvichiya, deputy of the St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee, said that there are currently more than 60 travel agencies in St. Petersburg that can cooperate with the group visa cancellation system, and we are ready to hold special meetings to exchange opinions on the issue. He considered the most important problem in the use of this agreement to be the lack of accurate information from the big organizers of outbound tours and requested the cooperation of the chamber in this field.
