The meeting of the officials of the Chamber of Commerce and the Ambassador of Bangladesh was held

Increasing economic exchanges between Iran and Bangladesh in the near future

A member of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors, in a meeting with the Bangladeshi ambassador, stated: In order to expand the interactions, a joint economic council for import and export between the two countries to be established.
According to the public relations report of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Ali Safar Nurollah said in this meeting: “Isfahan is the second industrial city of Iran, which produces the most bitumen, iron, synthetic yarn, and well-known quality textile products. So we are interested in developing economic cooperation with Bangladesh.

He continued:" In order to expand the interactions, a joint economic council can be established for import and export between the two countries. Isfahan has very competent industries, so our suggestion is that the Commercial Attaché of the Embassy and our colleagues in the Chamber work together to developing cooperation in between.

Mr.  Keshani, the president of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, in a meeting with the Ambassador of Bangladesh stated: “Iranian people live in peace and security, and the news against our country is just negative propaganda, and that we seek to expand economic interactions in a complete security”.
The Speaker of the Private Sector Parliament of Isfahan said: “Isfahan has many capacities in various cultural and economic sectors, this city has many economic, industrial, scientific and cultural centers and has great potentials for the development of economic relations”.
He continued: “I request the Ambassador and the embassy team to make more trips to Isfahan and get to know better what Isfahan has to offer and how peaceful and secure the life is. This news should be heard in the world that the negative propaganda against our country is neutralized”.
The head of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce stated: “Many sanctions have been imposed against our country, and unfortunately, these sanctions have targeted the people, so we request you to make our voice heard by your people and the officials of your country for them to understand what noble and great people the Iranian people are. And cruel sanctions are applied against them”.

Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury, Bangladesh Ambassador to Iran, also said: “I thank Isfahan Chamber of Commerce for holding this good meeting. Bangladeshis are familiar with Isfahan, due to the presence of some families from Isfahan in Bangladesh”.
He continued: “Isfahan has many capacities in the economic sectors. It has very good people and cultural commonalities can help to expand the relations between the two sides. Islam is a good common point between the two nations of Iran and Bangladesh and it brings the two countries closer together. Today, more than seven thousand Persian words are used in Bangladeshi literature, which shows the closeness of culture and communication between the two nations”.

The Ambassador of Bangladesh in Iran added: “With planning and coordination, many routes can be created for more communication and interactions between the two countries, and Isfahan has very good capacities in this sector. This city can be very successful in attracting tourists and the people of Bangladesh. Isfahan is known as a big and good city. The attractions of Isfahan can provide good economic opportunities for both countries”.
He said: “Bangladesh is competent in the production of medicine and has good activities. Iran also has good capacities in medical equipment, so there is a lot of scope for cooperation in these sectors”.

Mohammad Jafar Foodeh, a member of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors, also stated: “Isfahan has a lot to say about the agricultural sector, and in this regard, there is a possibility of developing cooperation and exchanging information between the two countries, so I invite the economic activists of Bangladesh to visit the capabilities of Isfahan in order for paving the way for the expansion of cooperation”.

Julia Moin, Commercial Counselor of the Bangladesh Embassy, ​​also stated: Bangladesh has a population of 170 million and is considered a very good market.  There are many investment potentials in this country, and the availability of cheap labor is one of the advantages of this country, so we are willing to have an increasing cooperate between our countries. Hence effective steps can be taken to support boosting the economy of the two countries.
