In the meeting between the ambassador of Denmark and the president of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce was emphasized:

Joint cooperation between Isfahan and Denmark in the field of clean energy

The ambassador of Denmark to the Islamic Republic of Iran met with the president and the members of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce.
Amir Keshani, while welcoming the ambassador, introduced Isfahan as a historical, cultural, and industrial city. Referring to the peaceful coexistence of different religions in this city throughout history, he said: “In addition to dealing with industry and trade, the people of Isfahan have always paid special attention to international peace”.
He added: “Isfahan holds top ranks in the country with respect to the production of steel, stone, ceramics, chicken, and the largest variety of handicrafts is produced in this region”. Pointing to the capacities of this industrial city, Keshani called on the Danish government to look into promoting investment in Isfahan.

Referring to the large population of Muslims and Iranians living in Denmark, as well as the long-standing relations between the two countries and Denmark's favorable investments in Iran, he said that it is very unfortunate that the imposed sanctions against Iran have targeted the people.
Keshani emphasized the cooperation between Isfahan and Denmark in the fields of environment, pharmaceutical industry, museum cooperation, and clean energy.
Jesper Vahr, the ambassador of Denmark to Iran, referring to the long history of interaction between the two nations, stated: “Between the years, 2015 to 2017, a significant number of Danish economic activists were active in Iran, but some problems, including the sanctions, hindered the trend of cooperation”.
He said the insignificant volume of transactions between the two countries in the past years, is due to problems in the financial transactions as a result of the sanctions.
The Danish ambassador further emphasized the need for cultural cooperation between the two countries and added: “This type of interaction can be a solution for exchanging thoughts, ideas, and even joint trade and investment development”.

Referring to the growth of clean energy and using windmills to produce electricity, Vahr said: "The emission of greenhouse gases has decreased in Denmark during the recent years, and reduction to zero level by 2050 is one of the government's long-term plans."
He also announced the possibility of providing Denmark's experiences and investing in this field and stated: “The favorable wind flow in Sistan and Baluchistan region for the production of clean energy could be a base for attracting Danish investors.
 
Mozhgan Eizadi, head of the Tourism and Handicrafts Commission of Isfahan Chamber, while emphasizing the need to consider facilities for the development of tourism interactions between Iran and Denmark, including the possibilities of regulating direct flights between Iran and Denmark, called for the improvement of cultural interactions between the two countries.
Eizadi, the head of the High Council of Women Entrepreneurs said: the interaction between this council and its counterpart in Denmark is of interest to the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce.

Fereshteh Amini, the head of the Export Promotion Commission, stated that, due to the sanctions, most of Iranian products exported to Denmark made through third countries, and said the commercial communication between the parties need to be facilitated.

Seyyed Vahid Dezfuli, the head of the Commission of Agriculture, emphasized the cooperation between Isfahan and Denmark in the field of clean energy through the formation of a joint committee in order to transfer knowledge and experience in the field.

Mohammad Reza Golahmmad, the head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Commission, introduced Isfahan as a historical, cultural, industrial, and artistic city and said: “This province has good potential for commercial and cultural exchanges.”
He then emphasized the need to consider special facilities for issuing visas to the members of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, planning to travel to Denmark for business purposes.
