Mr. Abdolvahab Sahlabadi, President of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Alessander Amadio, representative of UNIDO in Iran, signed a Trust Fund Agreement and project document for the project “Integration of the Esfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) into UNIDO’s Subcontracting partnership Exchange (SPX) global network for assisted internationalization and investment promotion efforts of domestic enterprises’’ In 20th of November 2015.
Mr. Ronasi, Vice President to Isfahan Chamber, stated that the main aim of the project was to assimilate the Subcontracting Exchange Center (SEC) within Esfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) into the UNIDO Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange (SPX) global network.
This will be undertaken after a thorough review of the host organization’s practices and performance which will lead to specific recommendations for internal processes and SME’s service improvement. The objective of the project is to establish the first official UNIDO supported Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange (SPX) Center in Esfahan, Iran and leverages this Center to provide added value subcontracting and matchmaking services to domestic firms as well as provide increased opportunities for internationalization as well as investment promotion and targeting emanating from the SPX UNIDO global network.
Mr. Safarnourallah, Investment consultant to the chamber, , declared that since last year SPX was just an active committee under the supervision of commission of industries, but now it is a single division of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce with the title of ESPX. He also added that with the cooperation of Tehran, Shiraz, Tabriz, Mashhad and Kerman Chambers of Commerce and the Ministry of Industries and Mines, they are providing the infrastructure to establish Iran SPX (ISPX).
